Kosmae is a vintage jewellery specialist in Christchurch. We source pre-loved jewellery — brooches, charms and more — clean and restore it by hand, and offer it on for a second life. Alongside it, we release curated vintage finds: adornment for the home as well as the person.

What's behind the name
Kosmae comes from kosmos (κόσμος) — adornment and order both, the root behind cosmetic and cosmos alike. It's adornment for you, and for your home: the small, well-made, beautiful things worth keeping. In the spirit of the oikos, things flow out of the house as well as in — and here, they find their way to someone new.

Every piece is cleaned and cared for by hand, released for a second life rather than left in a drawer — and what doesn't find you as jewellery may find you as a bridal brooch or a lanyard elsewhere in the Theophora family. Beauty kept in circulation, and order restored to the treasury.
